Browse node search add-on for Firefox
From AffiliateBang Wiki
Installation
In order to use our browse node search add-on, you will first need to have the Firefox browser. If you do not have Firefox yet, you can install it by going to http://www.getfirefox.com Firefox has many similarities to Internet Explorer, which will make it fairly easy to use.
Once you have Firefox installed, you can then get the browse node search add-on itself by going to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/11812
Currently, this is listed as an "experimental" addon. This is a quirk of the way Mozilla classifies add-ons, as the add-on itself is fully functional.
In order to install the add-on, you will need to check the box that says Let me install this experimental add-on. You will then be able to click on the Download now button. You should be asked if you wish to start using the addon now. If you are, choose yes. Otherwise, you will have to restart your browser in order to use the browse node search add-on.
Use instructions
To use, you will need to open a new window, tab or use a window or tab that you no longer need.
- Click on the current search engine. The default is Google, so it will be a blue and white G as shown in the picture.
- Find AffiliateBang in the list and click on that.
- Enter a keyword to search for in the search box. This can be specific, like dyson bagless vacuum cleaner. Or general, like vacuum cleaner
- Press enter, or click on the magnifying glass button to the right of the search box.
You will then be directed to AffiliateBang's browse node search page. This functions almost exactly like your personal Browse_Nodes page, except you will be searching AffiliateBang.com instead of your admin page.
You will also be able to search locales, without having to switch between them on your admin page. This is good if you wish to see, for example, the sort of things that a UK store might sell.
